The Episode starts with Chhan Chhan getting the call from Manav. Umaben thinks Manav calls her often, he it totally in love with Chhan Chhan. Umaben checks the rotlas. Manek says this rotlas is very good. Chhan Chhan gives some suggestion to Umaben. Manek is impressed, he says you know whats good and whats bad for this house. He says he will take the rotlas and give somewhere. Umaben asks how did you prepare it so soon. Ranjana says about the roti maker. Chhan Chhan shows the roti maker to Umaben. Chhan Chhan is shocked as Umaben came to know about her readymade sareee. Umaben thinks she will not let her work in her house.
Umaben is talking to some women and they praise her. She calls everyone and invite for Chhan Chhan’s mu dikhai rasam. Umaben says now it will be fun, lets see.
Chhan Chhan is in her room talking to herself. She gets Manav’s call. She says sorry, she was busy in kitchen. He asks what, it was your first day. She tells him everything. She asks him to come back soon as she is missing him a lot. He asks her to tell him something. She becomes shy and someone comes. She cuts the call. Umaben comes to her.
She says I came to give you this saree. Umaben says my friends wanted to meet you today, so we kept your mu dikhai rasam today. Umaben asks her to wear this saree and come infront of them. Chhan Chhan says its very beautiful. Umaben says I know you don’t have the habit of wearing saree, but what to do. Its a ritual. Umaben pretends infront of her as if she is innocent. Chhan Chhan thinks how will she manage such a heavy saree and the ghunghat. Chhan Chhan gets tensed.
Chhan Chhan tries to wear the saree. She is unable to wear it right and she talks to Manav’s photo. She says I would be confident if you were here, I miss you so much.
Scene shifts to Chhan Chhan’s house:
Karthik is angry that Chhan Chhan called roti makers. Karthik is worried about Chhan Chhan. Maithili says Chhan Chhan would call me if anything was wrong. Simple says Chhan Chhan was looking happy. Karthik overreacts and Maithili stops him saying now she is Umaben’s bahu. Dadi says Chhan Chhan is doing what we did in this house. Karthik says no one is understanding me.
Karthik calls Chhan Chhan, she talks to him. He asks her how is she, she says I m fine. He asks about her breakfast and lunch, he asks her what she made in lunch. "I don't have anything against Sanaya": Farhan Khan
Sony TV's much talked about show Chhanchhan which had been surrounded by controversies from quite a long time has now finally heaved a sigh of relief. After a lot of hullabaloo and repeated blame game, Chhanchhan successfully marked its completion of 50th episode, just yesterday.
For the same, we got in touch with Farhan Khan, who played the main lead right from day one and contributed to the journey of 50 episode till he was replaced by Anuj Sachdeva.
Chhanchhan has completed its 50th episode. How do you feel?
The show has completed its journey of 50 episodes. All my best wishes to each and everyone associated with the show. I really hope the show rocks and climbs up the TRP chart very soon. Not just 50, I wish that Chhanchhan completes 1500 episodes with great popularity and success.
Do you miss Chhanchhan?
Well, 'missing' is not the right word I would say, but yes I remember all the friends I made while I was a part of the show. In fact during the course, I developed a real brother-sister bonding with Vividha Kirti who is playing the role of Mansi in the show. Even Dhiraj Miglani and Supriya Pathakji became my good friends. It was a pleasure to work with them.
What has been your fondest memory of this show?
Chhanchhan itself is my fondest memory. It was my first television show and I remember each and every moment I have spent living Chhanchhan. It will always remain close to my heart.
One lesson this show has taught you?
As far as Chhanchhan is concerned, it has taught me a lot of things. In fact, I feel blessed that I was a part of the show. I gave my 100% and lived every second of it with a positive approach. I even came across many comments and articles criticizing me but let me tell you, all sorts of criticisms are welcomed. I'm a very philosophical person and as Sant Kabir has said,
"Nindak niyare rakhiye, angan kuti chhavay
bina pani sabun bina, nirmal kare subhay."
It means that - Keep your critiques close to you; let their hut be in your courtyard because that way you don't need soap and water to cleanse your nature! I follow the same path and I don't mind people speaking bad about me because it's their opinion, I cannot help it.
What are your views about Sanaya Irani?
Well, Sanaya Irani is really very beautiful. She is a very nice person and an amazing actress. I respect her and I don't have any grudges against her. In fact, I wish her all the good luck for her future and may she keep shining as always.
But Sanaya Irani has reacted to your earlier statements by wishing you 'best of mental health and a good career'. How do you respond to that?
We come across so many people in our life. Not necessary all of them will become our friends or everyone will like us. We cannot force anybody; after all it's an individual's choice. But I never thought Sanaya would say such things about me. Not many people know that I am studying to be a lawyer, I'm also planning to pursue my M.Phill and PhD further. So tell me, how can someone claim that I am not in good mental health. I'm very much educated and in a good health. 'Main Pagal Nahi Hun" (Laughs). All I would say is...
"Here's a sigh to those who love me, and a smile to those who hate
And whatever the sky is above me, here's a heart for every fate."
I believe the best way to live a happy life is to forgive everyone. It's about living with purpose and truly moving forward. 'Forgiveness' is a connection between me and my almighty. And I don't have any hard feelings for Sanaya, no matter whatever she thinks about me. There is no cold war as such and I presume my statements were misinterpreted and framed in a wrong way that added more oil to the fire. And may be Sanaya's statements were just a reaction to the much hype created around. I am a very simple guy who follows Mahatma Gandhi. I have never said anything bad about Sanaya.
How about Anuj Sachdeva as the new Manav?
Anuj is a great actor. Why would I say anything bad about him, he is doing his job well and that's how it should be. In fact, earlier I decided to go on to the sets personally and wish Anuj all the good luck for Chhanchhan but after all the confusion and hyped-controversies, I stepped back.
Any message to your fans?
To all those who have appreciated my work and supported me throughout - Thank you so much. You guys are the real critics and hope you'll see me with some good work once again.
What about your future plans?
I truly believe that life is a process which continues no matter what the circumstances. In this journey, you meet people, become friends, leave behind some of them and move on again, but the process never stops. Life is just so beautiful to explore. Chhanchhan was a part of my life, and not the end. I'm a born fighter. There are things going around which I cannot talk about as of now, but you'll soon get to know about it.

Chhanchhan Loses What Khushi Earned
----------------------------------------------
Khushi of ISS PYAR KO KYA NAAM DOON, was a strikingly beautiful small-town girl, whreas , chhanchhan is a so modern open-minded girl. But if we compare the two different characters played by the same person i.e Sanaya Irani, we can see that Khushi was much better than Chhanchhan in sudden complex situations. Khushi, being an orthodox small town and little literate girl, dealt with adverse situations so easily, but Chhanchhan inspite of being a so called modern girl often behaves in an absolutely unexpectedly dumb way. When she saw all her sister-in-laws to put the ghunghat on their heads, she keeps standing like a show-piece. She never tries to apprehend what her sister-in-laws may feel on Umaben's (tricky) special treatments on her. But in that place, khushi was concerned with each individual's feelings which gained her extra love and regard from the audience.

Sanaya is crazy!, says friend Anuj
Anuj Sachdev is the new Manav in Chhanchhan’s (Sanaya Irani) life. The popular model and actor could not be happier, as he gets to work with Sanaya who is a good friend off screen too.
Anuj says, “Yes, I know Sanaya and (her boyfriend) Mohit Sehgal since a long time, we are part of the same friends’ circle. I have never worked with her before but I’m confident our chemistry onscreen will be fabulous. I am aware that some actors did not want to do this show as it hasn’t been faring well, but I’m getting a good role — so why not? And Sanaya is one crazy woman!”
Since Anuj is also a popular model, we hear that he made it clear to the production house that he will need time to shoot for his advertisements and films and that dates will need to be adjusted accordingly. He says, “That was my first condition when I signed the show. My dates were already booked till October but the production house was willing to adjust.”
Anuj says that while most people perceive him to be serious, thanks to his onscreen characters, the reality is completely different. “When I meet people, I am usually silent. But once I get to know someone, I can talk any kind of nonsense. Till date, my female friends tell me they are yet to discover the real me,” he says.
The actor possesses one of the fittest bodies in Tellytown but he reveals a little secret. He says, “I am addicted to chocolate, I need to have it every day.”
While it’s raining heavily in Mumbai, Anuj says the monsoon isn’t something he looks forward to: “I don’t like getting wet, it’s a very strange feeling. Even if you feel like going out, you would never make it there, due to the traffic jams that take place during the rains.

Exclusive: Farhan Khan’s explosive interview on his exit from Sony TV’s Chhanchhan
Busy watching Champions Trophy? Think nothing big is brewing in the world of Indian soaps and sagas…then we have to say, you all are wrong. For what we are about to share are ‘volcanic’ revelations.
Now, actor Farhan Khan recently made headlines for ‘being axed’ from the Sony Entertainment Television show, Chhanchhan (Optimystix Productions).
Speculations were always rife on the young lad being shown the door, but none went on to confirm on the same. But the inevitable ultimately occurred and he was replaced by Anuj Sachdeva.
Since then media has maintained that Farhan has been in a ‘depressed state of mind’. But for the first time ever (yes this is exclusive), the actor has come out and spoken the truth behind his exit.
Buckle up your seat belts…for this article might jolt you…
Over to Farhan: “Firstly, let me put the point across that I am very much happy and contented that I am no longer a part of Chhanchhan. In fact, news of me getting axed is false. You can confirm it with the production house that I had told them 20 days back that I want to get out of the show. They did not kick me out; I was the one who left the project.”
Aha…he goes on…
“And as far as reports of me being depressed are concerned, one must be joking really(smiles). For Farhan to get into depression, one will have to kill him ‘thrice’, and that is impossible. The more the mud gets thrown on me, the tougher I become from within. I must share that as soon as my final day’s shoot got over, I enjoyed myself to the core and indulged in water sports. I am much of a literature guy, and the monsoon and rains have brought me closer to my books,” said the actor, sounding ever confident as ever.
So what went wrong? Why did he fail to exude great onscreen chemistry with Sanaya Irani –one of the finest talents in the Tv industry currently – we questioned him. And here, Farhan dropped a bomb… Keep reading…
“Sanaya Irani is a big name when it comes to TV scenario. I accept it and respect her a lot. I am not here to play any blame games, and this is the reason why I have never ever spoken anything about this in media. Sanaya is a beautiful girl and a very good artiste. But believe it or not, she has not spoken a word to me from day one since we started shooting. On the day we met and she got to learn that I was chosen to play the male lead, I went ahead to greet her. But she did not even return my greetings and it was then I understood that she does not like me,” said Farhan.
He continued, “Actually, as you all know there were two guys who were short-listed to play Manav in Chhanchhan. One was Farhan Khan and the other was Sanaya’s boyfriend Mohit Sehgal. As I am new to television, I never knew who Sanaya and Mohit were, but got to understand that they are dating each other. I guess Sanaya wanted Mohit to be the lead in the show and when it did not happen, Sanaya’s indifference towards me crept up. I have shot for over two months for the show, and Sanaya has never said even a ‘Hi’ to me till date and this is a fact. I always took this in my stride, as I am a positive person. She is a senior artiste, and I continued to greet her every day whenever I entered the set and saw her. Every time I did this, I got ‘no’ response from her.”
Farhan after facing the toughest phase of his life went on to say, “I have the sportsman spirit in me. I am well educated and learned. I read a lot of Sanskrit literature, and for a person like me, it was hard to take such an insult. Even then, it did not bog me down and I tried my level best. On the whole, Chhanchhan ‘was not my life’ and after having made the conscious decision of leaving the show, I am indeed happy today. I do not blame the production house or channel, and not even Sanaya Irani for all that happened.”
On the show not garnering great TRPs as expected by the makers, Farhan went on to question, “Why only blame me for the low TRPs? I was not the protagonist in the show. The main protagonist was Chhanchhan, played by Sanaya Irani. When a star of her caliber failed to garner TRPs, why put the blame on me? All the media reports that blamed me for the below-par numbers actually gave me a kick to work harder in life and prove myself.”
After a brief pause…Farhan shared an emotional moment that he faced on his last day of shoot. “It was not official then, that I was leaving the show. But I knew that it was going to be my last day on the set of Chhanchhan. When I bid good-bye, there were many people on the set, starting from actors to technicians to spot boys, who gave me a teary farewell. They got very emotional and I learnt on that day that I had made some genuine friends and well-wishers in the short span of time.”
When asked about his future plans, Farhan with a smile said, “This phase of life has made me stronger to face bigger challenges in life. As for TV, I have heard people saying that I don’t have the face, as in looks, needed for the small screen. Now I take the courage to ask these people, “What is it that is required to be a popular face on TV?” I have never understood this statement, but I would say that I am now in a position to take roles that suit my personality. I know I am handsome, have dashing looks, have a great body and physique, am well-educated, have brains to decide what is wrong and right. So I have no worries for the future.”
Last but not the least, Farhan attributed the failure of Chhanchhan as a show to the huge fan following that Sanaya Irani and Barun Sobti have garnered through their previous show, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon. “I personally feel fans wanted to see Sanaya and Barun together again. And this is a clear example of the fact that couples made in TV industry seem to be etched in the minds of people for life.”
Before signing off, Farhan wished the entire team of Chhanchhan all the very best. “I wish the channel, production, and even Anuj (Sachdeva) all the very best. I hope the show does well and gains good numbers.”

"I myself wanted to quit Chhanchhan"
Actor Farhan Khan who made his debut on Television with Sony TV's ChhanChhan, speaks about his sudden exit from the show.
A lot of news has been doing the rounds since Chhanchhan went on air, about Farhan Khan's replacement and that he did not fit in the role of Manav. He has always maintained silence about the rumours and focused only on his performance but for the first time Farhan Khan speaks up about all the rumours and news that has been making rounds for the past 2 months.
On the latest news which says that Farhan Khan has got into depression and that the quote has been made by his family:
"I am not in depression. I don't know what the media has been writing about me. I don't know with whom the media people spoke to, as my family is out of Mumbai for the past 1-2 weeks. And about my family saying that I am in depression is just something made up because more than anyone else my family knows that I am a fighter and to make Farhan Khan depressed you will have to kill him twice, as there is nothing which can make me depressed."
On quitting the show himself and not being thrown out:
"I am very much happy that I am out of the show, because I myself wanted to leave the show. No one knows but 12 days before I left the show I had told the production house that I wanted to leave. I want to make it clear I was not kicked out of the show, but I left the show myself. The news even said that I am blaming the production house, well it is the best production house I have ever worked with, and whatever has happened, is a mutual decision between us. The producer, Vipul Shah is a great person and I am not blaming anyone. At times things work out and at times things do not work out so no one is to blame for it."
Speaking about his equation with Sanaya Irani:
"Honestly speaking, Sanaya Irani and I have never been friends from the beginning. I respect Sanaya as an actress, but Sanaya has never liked me and we have not really been on talking terms with each other other than professionally. And it is normal, that with some people you get along well while with others you don't and that's how it was with me and Sanaya. I don't have any grudges against her, I wish her all the best in life, and may ChhanChhan rock and climb up on the TRP chart".
About the rest of the cast not being happy with him:
"There were rumours stating that the cast was not happy with me and didn't like my company. Well, I have no idea where these rumours came from, I know that people of my cast were crying on the day, I told them I am leaving the show! I still get their calls, so I seriously don't know which cast they are talking about".
On fans not accepting him:
From the first day itself, I have put all efforts in the role as Manav and I am happy that I have got fans appreciate my work and liked it. Of course, everyone cannot like you and I completely understand that as it has just been very hard for me as fans still have not given up on Sanaya Irani and Barun Sobti's jodi. For them to see Sanaya Irani with someone else was very hard. I kept trying to fit in, while everyone kept comparing me with Barun. I don't fit in Barun's category, Barun is a different person and I am a different person. This has always happened on television, like if you look 10 years back, we had the Tulsi Virani and Mihir Virani Jodi. The audience is in love with the character and no one can replace that. The same goes with Khushi and Arnav, they will always be a favourite Jodi and for someone else to act opposite any of them, they will always be compared to the original jodi".
"I even read a lot of comments made on me. Any kind of comment is welcome because it is their perception. Some people are writing so much good about me and some people are writing so much bad about me but it is surprising how some people can take television so much seriously. All I can say is that criticism makes me more stronger".
On the show not doing well
"In the show I was not the protoganist, it was focused on ChhanChhan. The show didn't do well for many reasons and the production house never blamed me and neither do I want to take the blame for the show not doing well. There were many facts like IPL, and fans wanted to see Sanaya with Barun after her last show. The audience was also trying to find Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon story in ChhanChhan, but they will have to realise that this is a complete different show and complete different star cast".
On what he has learned in the 2 months that he was a part of Chhanchhan:
"Apart from acting I have learned a lot of other things, like politics, which is a major part of the industry. We don't only have to focus on the acting skills, but also the politics. I used to go on the sets and wish Good Morning to everyone right from the co-stars to crew, spotboy etc. I was told that I should think about my reputation and that I didn't need to wish the spot people or make-up artists. But this is not the way I am brought up, after all we are humans. I don't have that kind of an attitude that just because he is earning lesser than me or is on a lower job, I will be impolite towards them. I don't feel you need to have such kind of attitude just because you are an actor. I am not like that and will never be like that. But I have got my lesson and I have seen a lot of people writing negative about me, but everything is welcome, as crisitism makes me stronger. This is not the end of life, I am young, I can talk, speak, eat and I am educated, so I believe there are a lot of opportunities ahead. My mom says I am the most handsome person she has ever seen, and I believe her, as moms don't lie.
On his future plans:
I am happy that I am not going to be known as Manav all my life as I want to be known as Farhan Khan. We have seen Shah Rukh Khan has done many roles in the name of Rahul, but he is still recognised as Shah Rukh Khan. At times even these days when I walk on the streets people still recognise me saying "Ohh that is Manav", which is a great feeling, but by the end of the day I want to be known as Farhan Khan. I don't want to be recognised by the character name but by Farhan Khan. I am happy I have done Chhanchhan but Chhanchhan is not the end of my life. Chhanchhan was a part of my life, which is not there anymore, but I am happy as the decision has been mine and I believe I have a lot to achieve in life ahead".
On how he keeps himself busy these days:
"These days I am spending most of my time reading. The weather is amazing these days so I am enjoying it. I had some meetings with different channels and I am happy with the decision I have taken."

Says actor Anuj Sachdeva who has replaced Farhan Khan in Sony TV’S show Chhanchhan..
We have been updating all the fans of Chhanchhan regarding the recent developments in what is touted as Sanaya Irani’s show.
In our previous article, we had mentioned that after all the hullaballoo; Optimystix Productions has roped in the very handsome actor Anuj Sachdeva as the new Manav. And now the new Manav (Anuj Sachdeva) speaks about his entry in Chhanchhan.
Talking about his first shot at Chhanchhan, Anuj says, “At Chhanchhan, my first shot was that of a wedding sequence opposite Sanaya Irani. It was good, and everything went well.”
Anuj also shares with us that he watched Chhanchhan initially, so he is well-versed with the basic foundation of the show. But he couldn’t follow the show later due to his tight schedule and other projects.
Citing the recent examples that shows were yanked off air because the lead actor was replaced, Anuj says confidently, “Well, that’s the catch. Many known actors were approached for this particular role, and may be they were not keen on doing it or considered it as a bad call. Any which way, if I wouldn’t then someone else would have grabbed the opportunity. Knowing well about the dipping TRPs of the show, Chhanchhan is a challenge for me.”
The talented actor who has taken up the challenge to play a replacement role says, “My way of thinking is exactly opposite in comparison to others. I believe when the production house is in need, I should stand with it and lead the show to success. I have no idea about Farhan’s acting style. All I’m going to do is play the character my way. So, let’s see…”
Anuj Sachdeva, will soon be hitting the big screen with his Punjabi movie- ‘Haani’.

Prerna Wanvari and Srman Jain roped in for Sony TV’s Adaalat
Sony Entertainment Television’s Adaalat will see some new blood!!!
Yes, has learnt that beautiful, curvaceous and talented Prerna Wanvari and handsome hunk Srman Jain have been roped in by the makers (Contiloe Telefilms) to spice up the upcoming plot.
Our sources have suggested that Prerna (Bandini, Parichay) will play the role of a female detective and will be part of KD’s (Ronit Roy) team.
Furthermore, Srman will essay the character of an undercover cop, a whacky guy who does not give a hoot about rules and laws and solves cases in his own style. He will also be a part of KD’s team.
“In the long run, Srman and Prerna’s characters will get romantically involved,” further added the source.
We tried getting in touch with Prerna but she remained out of reach.
Srman, however, confirmed his entry and said, “I am glad to be a part of another Sony show. My association with the channel is over three years now. I am also excited for I am approached to play the role of a man, not a boy (laughs). I am looking forward to it.”
Srman is currently part of the show Chhanchhan, airing on the same above channel, and in most probability he will quit the daily soap to focus completely on Adaalat.
However, the actor chose not to talk on the subject.

The Episode starts with Chhan Chhan thinking where did Manav go without telling her. She gets a note on her side table. She reads it, she imagines Manav in the room. He writes you might be missing me, but he had to go for some rituals. He writes I will come back soon, wait for me, then we will start our love story. She smiles reading the letter. She says I m waiting for you, come soon. She thinks Ranjana and Sanjana got the punishment because of her.
Ranjana and Sanjana are making the rotis in the kitchen. She says the mistake was Chhan Chhan’s and we are bearing the punishment. Chhan Chhan comes in a saree and she says shall I help you. Ranjana says Chhan Chhan is looking very good in the saree. Chhan Chhan says I m not feeling good, she says her saree border is not fixing properly. Ranjana helps her. Chhan Chhan says she will make the rotis. Ranjana says let it be, we will do it. Chhan Chhan apologizes to them. She says I will make the 300 rotis. Chhan Chhan asks them to teach them how to make rotis. Chhan Chhan says I did not cook at home, but if you teach me, I will learn.
Chhan Chhan gets a call and leaves from the kitchen. Manav calls her, she says I m annoyed, why did not you tell me that you had to go. Manav flirts and says some good lines. Chhan Chhan smiles. Chhan Chhan says what you want to say, come to me and say. Chhan Chhan says Ranjana that my Dadi used to make this rotlas. Chhan Chhan tells them an idea of making gthe rotlas with a shortcut. Sanjana says she fears of Umaben, maybe she will punish us again.
Chhan Chhan says we are making what she said, then why will we bear punishment. Sanjana and Ranjana does not understand what Chhan Chhan will do.
Simple calls Chhan Chhan, and tease her. Simple says did you with fight Manav at the first night of marriage. Chhan Chhan tells Simple about the Jagran and how Manav left for the puja. Chhan Chhan asks Simple to wait as she is getting Manav’s call. She puts Manav on hold, she tells Simple some work. Simple says I will come to you soon. Chhan Chhan thinks of the idea. Umaben is in the hall. Manek is having stomach ache, Simple comes with some items with her. She greets Umaben. Umaben says you are Chhan Chhan’s friend, why did you come here. Simple says I had some work, so I came to meet her. Chhan Chhan comes to her, Simple is shocked to see her in the saree. Chhan Chhan introduces Umaben to Simple. Umaben takes Manek with her and leaves.
