Suraj's support for Sandhya to irk Bhabho
again Diya Aur Baati Hum (Shashi Sumeet Productions)
on Star Plus, has always kept its audience
hooked with its intriguing dose of
entertainment and drama. Last week, the
numero uno show on TV once again raked in
highest TRPs (4.0). Now, gear up for some more drama in the
coming episodes… In the previous episodes, we saw how Suraj
(Anas Rashid) tried his best to convince
Sandhya (Deepika Singh) to not let go off her
dreams so easily. With an interesting ploy of
using the seven stones game, Suraj kept
motivating Sandhya. But learning about Bhabho’s (Neelu Vaghela) displeasure on the
act, Sandhya will once again get confused in the
coning sequences. As per our sources, in the coming episodes we
will see Suraj subscribing to newspapers to
help Sandhya get more details of the
happenings around the world. This will not go
down well with Bhabho. The advice of the DSP, that polishing one’s
know-how of the current affairs is the easiest
way to succeed in exams, has struck Suraj so
deep that he will now leave no stones unturned
to see his wife achieve the dream of wearing a
police uniform. “The biggest dramatic sequence will be when a
person from a TV manufacturer company
(where Suraj had inquired to buy one) will turn
up at their house. This will shock one and all.
This extra incurrence of expense will anger
Bhabho to such an extent that it will lead to another explosive moment,” adds the source. Bhabho will ask Suraj for a surety that this
expense will not go waste and will demand a
guarantee in return of purchasing the TV.
Sandhya will be upset with this turn of events. How will Suraj convince Bhabho and family and
also what will he give as a guarantee to
Bhabho, will be for the viewers to see. Anas refused to comment on the track while
Neelu, as reported, is unwell. Deepika and
Sumeet Mittal (Producer) remained unavailable
for comment.

Everyone on Earth has these three golden words inscribed in their minds. But sometimes committed and hard working professionals in their zest to keep abreast with their work go out of their way to finish their ventures without much considering their health conditions.
Similar is the case of one of our dedicated television artistes, Neelu Vaghela, who is shooting despite being unwell.
When we called up Neelu for a small chit-chat, who plays the all important role of Bhabho in Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum (Shashi Sumeet Productions), she seemed to be a bit low. Otherwise, she is one of the celebrities who can cheer any journo with her quirky quotes and joyful attitude.
Alarmed, we asked this beautiful lady if she was keeping unwell.
Pat came the reply, “Yes, I am unwell. Maybe over work is the cause of all this. With back-to-back shoots without offs, my body is giving up. I am really feeling weak today.”
The actress further said that she was experiencing heaviness in the chest and breathing issues. This worried us further, after which we advised her to immediately rush to the doctor. The dedicated woman that she is, Neelu said that she would visit her doctor only after she finishes her shoot this evening.
Take it easy Neelu; you have a long way to go!!!

The Episode starts with suraj telling sandhya that the day when sandy becomes IPS officer will be the happiest day of his life. He adds that everyone saluted that DSP & wishes everyone does the same to sandy one day. Suraj tells her that she should work hard for becoming an IPS & adds on. Sandy silently listens to him. He explains everything (the Diya song plays no dialogues heard).
Sandhya remembers her father words when she was young asking her to become an IPS officer. Suraj tells that in a short while their dream will come true whatever may be the hurdle. Sandy rests her head on his shoulder & suraj tells that it is his promise.
Night
Sarun Room.
Bhabhasa asks her what happened. Bhabo tells that it is her daughter’s wedding so tension will be there. Babasa tells that he sees contentment instead of fear or worry. Bhabo tells that with the help of God everything went well. Babasa tells that a husband can easily find wife’s emotions. Bhabo taunts him by saying that he is blabbering. Bbabsa tells that she is happy bcoz of sandy’s second MP & she must be happy as only one left. Adds that she must speak out the truth today whether he is wrong in telling that. Bhabo leaves the room.
Surya return. Suraj asks sandy for water.
Bhabo comes back & babasa asks her to answer him. Bhabo tells that she will not lie & adds that she is happy that the second matka broke & adds that she never wanted a police but wanted a beendani who can serve her son always. Adds that she broke those only bcoz of sandy’s mistake & no one can question her. Bbaabasa asks her by breaking her son’s heart & DIL ‘s dream what happiness will she gain. Bhabo breaks saying that when a child cries saying that the medicine is bitter but as a mom she shd give her son the boitter medicine but all is for his good. Bhabo adds that suraj will be hurt by this but she can’t bear his life getting torn when sandy becomes IPS officer & everyone calls him as Police officer’s hubby & tells that she can’t tolerate all these & this dream is not acceptable in RM. Adds that this will break the family. She also adds when sandy becomes IPS the clerks will be following her & saluting her & she will not say bhabo ji babaji & will forget the sanskaar. Sandy hears all these. Bhabho adds that seeing sandy the other DIl’s will also change & tells that she is ready to become the evil for the sake of this family but she can’t tolerate / give any room to spoil the culture of her predecessors.
Sandy comes to GG room confused. She gives suraj glass of milk. Suraj asks her to drink as she needs to read more books. Suraj tells that he has to act like her parents & adds that there is a hidden truth in that.
Suraj tells that he will be full of pride when she becomes IPS one day & he can hold hid head high. Everyone will call him sandy rathi IPS’s hubby. Sandy gets confused & remembers the words of bhabo telling that today he is known by the name of halwai & after IPS he will be called as IPS hubby & everyone will change in RM following sandy.
The next day morning. Bhabo does pooja in suraj’s shop & everyone prays. Meena tells that she was praying for suraj’s shop reopen. Bhabo tells that it is her prayer which helped them & asks whether she prepared the prasadh.
Meena blabbers. Emily comes in & tells that she prepared. Bhabo is surprised. Meena blabbers that she explained her thevrani emily about everyhting & adds that she will teach everything to her. Bhabo gives a stare & she shuts up. Everyone gets the prasadh. Babasa asks for tea (ginger). Suraj tells that he will finish the work with chotu & sandy. Everyone leaves except suraj sandy & chotu. MEena tries to lie to bhabo in order to visit the shooting. She tells bhabo that she has prayed to god that Thye will make prasadh once suraj’s shop reopens & adds that if she does n’t do something bad may happen. Bhabo stares at her.
Precap: Someone delivers a huge bundle of news paper. Meena wonders & bhabo asks her to inform that delivery person not to deliver newspapers of others. Suraj comes in & tells that he has brought all these for sandy’s sake. Sandy gets shocked & so does bhabo & others

When TV celebs danced to Shiamak Davar's tune!
The 10th edition of Star Plus "Star Parivaar Awards" was not just about the grand sets and trophies, it was also about entertaining and scintillating dance sequences choreographed by Shiamak Davar.
This was the first time Shiamak choreographed something for the small screen and the performances by the celebrities turned out to be a visual delight for the audience.
Sooraj-Sandhya from "Diya aur Baati hum", Aditya-Pankhuri from "Pyaar Ka Dard Hai...Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara", Gopi-Ahem and Rashi-Jigar from "Saath Nibhana Saathiya", Aakash-Poonam from "Ek Ghar Banauga", Ranvijay-Veera and their on screen mom Ratan from "Veera" as well as "Nach Baliye 5" winners Jay Bhanushali-Mahi Viz, not only rocked the dance floor, but thoroughly entertained the guests.
From "Bijli aaye na aaye" from "The Reluctant Fundamentalist" to "Radha" from "Student Of The Year", the TV actors' performances were a treat for the guests that included Bollywood actors Ritesh Deshmukh, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Imran Khan and Sonakshi Sinha.
And if that was not enough, celebrity chefs Vikas Khanna and Kunal Kapur, seen judging "Master Chef India", added to the fun with their 'jhatkas' and 'matkas'.
The gala evening was held Saturday at the Yash Raj Studios here.
The "Star Parivaar Awards", which started in 2003 to honour the TV actors who are part of the Star Plus' shows, will be aired soon on the TV and the winners name will be unveiled there.

With this year’s unique theme “Yeh Prem Kahaani Hai.Parivaar Ki” the members of the family came forward with some breath-taking acts. The biggest Parivaar of the country, came together to celebrate Love and Family through a Grand Musical that was directed by the talented Bollywood Choreographer Shiamak Davar.
The night was a star lit affair as the popular actors from the various shows of STAR Plus walked the red carpet at Yash Raj Studio on 15th June 2013. Sooraj-Sandhya from Diya aur Baati Hum, Aaditya-Pankhuri from Pyaar Ka Dard Hain, Gopi- Ahem and Rashi-Jigar from Saathiya, Aakash- Poonam from Ek Ghar Banauga, Nach Baliye-5 winners Jay and Mahi, Ranvijay-Veera with Ratan from Veera were some of the popular Parivaar faces that walked the red carpet along with Ritesh Deshmukh, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Imran Khan and Sonakshi Sinha. While most of them performed on the dance floor rest of the members were seen humming the new STAR Parivaar song 2013 – Tum Jo Mil gaye ho sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and Ankit Tiwari.
The show that has always been much talked about ensured the invitees were welcome with great warmth and amazing hospitality. The audience was happy to be part of such an event which was filled with television’s most popular faces. Star India’s much-appreciated Star Parivaar Awards is getting glitzier and glamorous. As the actors walked the red carpet, dressed in their best attires, unlimited fun and entertainment was guaranteed. Yash Raj Studio became a witness again to a bigger and better Star Parivaar Awards 2013, which was held on 15 June.
The initiative marks the success and recognition of TV characters on Star Plus by the audiences who monitor them closely and daily on their favourite soaps. The function was a limitless package of path-breaking performances, glamour, humour and not to forget the gorgeous television stars.
Sooraj (Anas Rashid)-Sandhya (Deepika Singh ) from Diya aur Baati Hum, Aaditya (Nakuul Mehta)-Pankhuri (Disha Parmar) from Pyaar Ka Dard Hain, Gopi (Giaa Manek) - Ahem (Mohammad Nazim) and Rashi (Rucha Hasabnis)-Jigar (Vishal Singh) from Saath Nibhana Saathiya, Aakash (Rahul Sharma)- Poonam (Ishita Dutta) from Ek Ghar Banauga, Nach Baliye-5 winners Jay and Mahi, Ranvijay (Bhavesh Balchandani) -Veera (Harshita Ojha) with Ratan (Sneha Wagh) from Veera were some of the popular Parivaar faces who walked the red carpet.
Masterchef Fame Sanjeev Kapoor, Vikas Khanna and Kunal Kapur also did the honours along with Masterchef India season 3 winner Ripu Daman Handa.
The evening could not have ended without the doffing of the collective cap to the power of Bollywood. Celebrities like Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Riteish Deshmukh, Sonakshi Sinha and Imraan Khan added some spice to the event.
Star Parivaar Awards’ unique theme ‘Yeh Prem Kahaani Hai…Parivaar Ki’, brought out the best from the members of the family, who enthused the audience with their breathtaking acts. Be it young or old, all the popular Star Plus actors burned the dance floor with some mesmerising performances.
With Parivaar Awards roping in Shiamak Davar to choreograph the entire show, the musical theme adopted for this year, was an add-on to entertainment. As the biggest Parivaar of the country came together to celebrate love and togetherness, the evening had its moments of pathos, joy and tongue-in-cheek humour. Present at the occasion also were quite a few TV producers who have contributed to Star Plus success: Rajan Shahi, SLB’s Arvind Babbal , Tony and Deeya Singh, Shashi and Sumeet Mittal, Rakesh Paswan, Yash and Mamta Patanaik, Kavita Barjatyya, and Rashmi Sharma. Star India’s CEO Uday Shankar, COO Sanjay Gupta, content engine head Gaurav Banerjee, Star Plus business head Nachiket Pantvaidya, non-fiction head Ashish Golwalakr were all there to cheer their actors on.
Also on hand were Star Parivaar Awards jury members Indiantelevision.com and The Indian Telly Awards CEO Anil Wanvari, producer J.D. Majethia, and veteran journalist and writer Bhawana Somaiyya.
This apart, the 3D mapping projection and three-sided Varsha Desai-designed stage at YRF were a revelation. While SOL Productions was responsible for the creative and the TV production of the event, Frames handled production on the red carpet and the curtain raiser.
The highlight of the show was the group performance by Shagufta Ali (Moti Chaiji from Veera), Hina Khan (Akshara from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai), Disha Sharma (Pankhudi from Pyaar ka Dard) and Neelu Vaghela (Bhabho from Diya aur Baati Hum) who made the audiences go ga-ga with their mind-blowing moves and grooves.
While most of the stars burned the dance floor with their high on energy performances, the rest of the members were seen humming the new STAR Parivaar song 2013 – ‘Tum Jo Milgaye ho’ sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and Ankit Tiwari.
Well onto the show, the event started with an electrifying prayer dance by the team of Shiamak Davar along with Bhabho, Naitik, and other popular faces of Star welcoming guests to a memorable evening. This was followed by a comic act put together by the cast of Diya aur Baati Hum and other famous actors from the show Yeh Rishta and Veera and Rahul Mahajan.
The very dashing television chocolate boy Karan Wahi and Ek Hazaaron me Meri Behna hai fame Jeevika left the viewers in splits with their quick drollness and rocking stage presence as they co-hosted the evening for the first category of awards. Helping them with the awards segments were the lively co-hosts Jay Bhanushali, Karan Mehra, Neelu Vaghela and Ashok Lokhande.
Star India CEO Uday Shankar gave away the ‘Har Ghar ka Pasand Sadasya’ Award.
While on the one hand, the gorgeous Monica Bedi, who shook the audience with her exotic performance on the popular number Lat Lag gayee from Race 2, provided an oomph factor, Akshara, Sandhya and Pankhudi made the audiences go ga-ga with their thumkas and latkas.
All through the fun and entertainment, the Star Parivaar Awards did not forget to highlight the plight of women and the injustice faced by them. The spectacular performance by Ratan from Veera and Pankhudi from surely was a highlight of the star-studded evening.
The rope walking act with no support by Anas Rashid (Diya aur Baati hum fame Sooraj) surely made everyone skip a heartbeat.
All in all, Star Parivaar Awards was a magnificent evening to remember with fabulous performances, surprising acts and the shinning television industry at its glamorous and entertaining best.

Episode starts with emily telling that chavi couldn’t write the last exam due to chicken pox. Everyone gets shocked. She adds that she said that she needs a graduate bahu & now chavi is worried abt this. Dilip’s mom tells that she wants a graduate but it is not a fault of chavi & asks them not to worry & she can give that after marriage too. Everyone gets happy. She adds that she will take care of chavi now to babasa & gives sarees & gifts to RP. Bhabhasa offers them food but she tells that she has to leave now & asks him to inform them once chavi gets cured. They leave. Chavi gets excited & hugs emily for saving her life & tells that she is the best bhabhi. Bhabo is not happy. Meena worries after sandy emily is now proving too good & worries whether these two would take over her in getting bhabo’s love. She further asks chavi to be careful while hugging her as she is pregnant. Vikram thanks emily. Bhabo tells that she doesn’t like lying but this is good as she did for her SIL & for her family & tells that here there are also some ppl who tells lie ofr their sake & never worries abt others. Bbabasa changes the topic by asking where is suraj.
Suraj is seen crying before a temple remembering all those happened that afternoon (MP sandy accepting that she did that)
Here sandy is taking off the clothes & hears a scooter sound & looks at them instantly but it was someone.

A kid informs suraj abt his call. Suraj picks up. Sandy asks him where is he & suraj thinks that if he s worried so much sandy must be worried even more. (Suraj’s voice OMG very cracky) He tells that he is ghat & asks her to come soon & informs her that he needs to talk with her. SAndy rushes towards that temple ghat
Suraj lloks at the pitoo game played by those children. On seeing sandy he goes to the children & tells that he will join them & makes a group & asks sandy to join. Sandy is confused. They does One two three for selecting team members. Suraj keeps on changing until he gets the proper team. They start the game Suraj hits the stones. SAndy ties up her hair.
Break: SAndy’s turn. She hits those stones & everyone play with full josh/ enthusiasm
Sandy hits the target & eveyrone plays with full enthusiasm. SAndy is more involved than suraj Suraj & his party prevents sandy & co from keeping the stones back on position. At last Sandy has finished keeping all those seven stones in tact & suraj gets shocked. Sandy tells that she did that. The children leave happily. Suraj tells her that she arranged all those seven one after the other from one. He adds that she should think matkas in these place & asks her to think abt the one left over matka. He promises that they will not leave that to break. He asks her not to loose hope & adds that the dream is not only hers but also his.
Break:
Sandy tells that she doesn’t want to talk abt matka & akss him to leave to RM. Suraj drags her to the pond stairs & tells her that he is dreaming of only one thing & it is her dream & adds that he is ready to do anything to fulfill this. Asks her whether she has done anything wrong till now or hurt anyone. He adds that even his shop vandalism is for good as he gathered info rgd her dream & follow that too & tells that they must keep that matka intact & celebrate her b’day in a grand manner & adds that chotu was also telling some cine matic but stops himself. He adds that he felt proud on seeing DSP & the respect he got inhis office & tells that he dreamt that sandy would get those respect too. & tells that it will be his D day & his happiest moment in life. Sandy is all the more worried.
Precap: Babasa tells bhabo that she is not worried abt chavi’s engagement breakageinstead she wanted to break the Matka. He asks her what is she going to gain by hurting her son & breaking her DIL’s dream.
