Dehradun: Angry relatives of those missing in Uttarakhand after floods and landslides blocked roads in Dehradun on Friday and shouted slogans against the government. Those agitating said they have been getting no information whatsoever on any missing persons and are getting no help from the government.
Many of those protesting also said that their relatives have been stranded in different areas in Uttarakhand for days now, without any relief and food. They accused the government of acting slow with respect to the rescue operations in the state.
They also said they have been helpless as the helpline numbers given out by the government have been of no help as none of them have been reachable. On Thursday too, angry locals heckled Uttarakhand Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna in Joshimath.
Bahuguna had gone to Joshimath to oversee rescue operations. The locals shouted slogans against him and accused his government of goingslow on rescue operations.

I think we all should gather arrange aid for he people who are ailing for help in Uttrakhand.....this is our moral responsibility.... the whole burden is upon military and our government is worst in matters of disaster management. The responsibility of his country falls in our hands. We should gather in the department and get things like bread, water, candles, blankets etc. and then submit it to the team of IBN7. Our government is not even having sufficient aid for those people. women and children are also there. We waste so much of food and water everyday. Can't we help these people so that they can at least survive till they are rescued? Please, for a while forget that from which religion or state they are and just see them as human beings. No one has control on natural calamity. Anyone of us could have confronted with this kind of situation.
Admin: Dear Confessor why do you think that we should give it to IBN7. I suggest we the JMI Students should take this initiative on our own. We should deliver our services to the victims directly.
