Anas Rashid, popular as Suraj Rathi from 'Diya Aur Baati Hum', is a confused man especially when it comes to matters of the heart. His popularity has earned him such a huge fan following that he is inundated with daily calls from girls.
"Now, I have many options within the industry and outside as well (laughs). School-going girls, college students, and even married women seem to love me. Somehow, they dig out my number and call me. So, I am confused who to finally marry," says the 35-year-old actor, who has been linked to television actress Rati Pandey, currently seen in Hitler Didi, for the past many years.
However, the actor denies this, "Rati and I were never in a relationship and are not getting married. We've simply been friends. It is because I am a very friendly guy so they think haan inka koi chakkar chal raha hai. But I don't care a damn to what others think, I am not answerable to anybody."
However, Anas has decided that he will never marry an actress. "My upbringing and the atmosphere at home won't permit me to do so. My mother and sister wear burqa. So, how can my wife be seen on television? It won't be right. Even as I will be living with my wife in Mumbai, she will be seen on the screen, she will be exposed and my folks out there will have to bear taunts of relatives," he rues, continuing, "There is no point in her keeping her pallu on her head. How will I be able to stop her from hugging, kissing and consummation scenes?"
So is this the reason for his 'split' with Rati? "I believe that if I am dating someone then I should marry the girl. Rati lives in the same building. But why tread that path? Jis gaon jaana nahi uska raasta hi kyun pooche? And I don't want to marry a working woman or an actress," says Anas.

Episode starts with suraj telling bhaboo that he bought these papers for sandy. He adds that sandy must read these. Chavi tells that exam is after her results. Suraj tells that IPS preparation is hard & everyone does years of hardwork. Chavi mocks him saying that he is halwai. Suraj tells that he knows everything as DSP informed him & adds that Pushkar competition is also there next month. Meena tells that there is no need to spend money for getting news which can be done by gossiping. Suraj tells that it is not related to gossips. Bhabo tells that no one is knows abt that competition & asks him whether the competiton holder take care of the expense like WTC.. Suraj tells that he has to spend not those people. everyone getss shocked. Meena adds fuel by telling that 5 news papers & 5 Rs per paper means 25 Rs & 1000 rs on other magazines. Suraj stops her by telling that by eating food one can develop their body & by reading u can develop ur intelligence.
Bhabo tells suraj that he has now become like sandy & this is the same person who was making wrappers with that newspaper & adds that she can’t afford it now as she has her daughter’s wedding. And asks him to do bhajan pooja instead. Suraj tells that sandy has to take part in that competition in order to prepare for her IPS. He adds that DSP suggested the same. Bhabo tells that she will ask the DSP to take care of the epxenses. Bhabo denies saying that she can’t afford & earlier babasa dropped his paan habit for the sake of newspaper. Meanwhile the cable operator asks bhabo to show him the hall so that he can fix the cable. He tells that Everything comes to 30 after calculating. Bhabo tells its fine. She will give Rs 30. The operator tells that it is Rs. 30000 & Bhabo gets shocked & shouts at him. Vikram inspects the cable & asks him what is this. The operator explains 27000 for TV & other accessories cost to Rs3000, in total 30000. Bhabo asks himwho asked him to deliver TV. Vikram suspects Mohit. Mohit denies that & blames vikram as meena likes serials the most. Meena also seconds him. But vikram denies that saying that he can afford only to a gol gappa. Suraj's support for Sandhya to irk Bhabho again in Diya Aur Baati
Diya Aur Baati Hum (Shashi Sumeet Productions) on Star Plus, has always kept its audience hooked with its intriguing dose of entertainment and drama. Last week, the numero uno show on TV once again raked in highest TRPs (4.0).
Now, gear up for some more drama in the coming episodes…
In the previous episodes, we saw how Suraj (Anas Rashid) tried his best to convince Sandhya (Deepika Singh) to not let go off her dreams so easily. With an interesting ploy of using the seven stones game, Suraj kept motivating Sandhya. But learning about Bhabho’s (Neelu Vaghela) displeasure on the act, Sandhya will once again get confused in the coning sequences.
As per our sources, in the coming episodes we will see Suraj subscribing to newspapers to help Sandhya get more details of the happenings around the world. This will not go down well with Bhabho.
The advice of the DSP, that polishing one’s know-how of the current affairs is the easiest way to succeed in exams, has struck Suraj so deep that he will now leave no stones unturned to see his wife achieve the dream of wearing a police uniform.
“The biggest dramatic sequence will be when a person from a TV manufacturer company (where Suraj had inquired to buy one) will turn up at their house. This will shock one and all. This extra incurrence of expense will anger Bhabho to such an extent that it will lead to another explosive moment,” adds the source.
Bhabho will ask Suraj for a surety that this expense will not go waste and will demand a guarantee in return of purchasing the TV. Sandhya will be upset with this turn of events.
How will Suraj convince Bhabho and family and also what will he give as a guarantee to Bhabho, will be for the viewers to see.
Anas refused to comment on the track while Neelu, as reported, is unwell. Deepika and Sumeet Mittal (Producer) remained unavailable for comment.

Star Plus reigns supreme this week too with a total GRPs of 254, when compared to last week’s 242. Zee TV which had dropped last week to the # 3 position is back to the #2 spot this week with GRPs of 193, with a raise of 13 points from last week (which read 180). This development has pushed Colors to the #3 position with a GRP of 181, followed by Sony at the fourth spot with 151 GRPs. SAB TV is at the fifth spot with a GRP of 140 while Life OK is at #6 with a GRP of 127, a considerable drop from last week’s GRP which was 149.

The episode starts with Meena asking permission to go to the temple. Bhabo asks her to control her words & gives her permission. Meena asks vikram to accompany her. Vikram tells that bhabo will scold him if she gets to know abt this. Babasa looks at maheshwari family’s newspaper & he tries to take that from their house & that person taunts babasa for stealing his newspaper. RP gets worried & bhabo returns the newspaper & apologises to maheshwari. He tells bhabo that she need not but babasa should feel ashamed & leaves the place. Bhabo taunts babasa & a man looks at these. Bhabo taunts him also telling that she will send him breakfast. Babasa tries to convince bhabo (meanwhile he asks her abt the halwa she is making) & adds that he will buy newspaper hereafter. Babasa tells that newspaper is not very expensive but is like only tea’s worth. And adds that they should buy newspaper for the sake of children. Mohit vikram chavi seconds babasa. Bhabo asks them to take up the fare if they want. Mohit steps back Vikram follows him. Emily is shocked with this. Chavi also steps back.
Bhabo taunts MVC to babasa & asks him to cut his paan expense & bring newspaer. Babasa tells that he will avoid paan here after & buy newspaper with that money. He leaves to return back the newspaper.
Bhabo tells everyone that she can’t afford any further expense neither to a baby nor to its father.
Babasa reads the newspaper aloud that too in front of bhabo. Bhabo taunts him & he worries that he never gets praised even for stopping paan.
Suraj in his shop finds a newspaper delivery man & informs him something.
Bhabo asks emily to work carefully as she is pregnant.
Chavi gets excited on seeing an ornament. Meena blabbers saying that she must have some wishes for her MIL to fulfill. Vikram asks her to shut up & concentrate on kanha.
Vikram praises Dhaisa grand daughter & everyone seconds him. Bhabo tells that Dhaisa’s DIL worked during her preggy period. Meena tells that it is not true & blurts out that her baby is good & manages it well after.
A man with cable comes & vikram & mohit tries to send him out. Bhabo calls him in & asks him to work on the cable. He leaves to upstairs.
Bhabo taunts vik & mohit for not raising up to the std of Suraj & praises suraj for handling the household single handedly.
Babasa meanwhile reads out the news of the chit fund closure & tells that the police did a good job & those ppl got their lesson. Emily gets shocked.
Emly remembers herself giving 26500 rs to mohit to invest in that chit company. She gets worries. Vikram asks mohit abt the chit company & mocks him. Mohit tells that it must not be the same. Bbasa confirms it & mohit gets tensed & rudely behaves. Suraj & sandy enter & suraj advises mohit. Bhabo asks mohit what is the necessity to urge & bhabo taunts him saying that she can even understand the value of money & not like him. Suraj gets a call but he makes excuse &leave to hall as he couldn’t hear them properly. A man delivers a huge amount of newspaper.
Meena picks it up & wonders why that man delivered so much magazines & newspaper. Babasa tells that he doesn’t do that. Mohit also denies. Bhabo asks meena to return those or else maheswari will taunt again. Suraj stops meena & tells that he bought that. Babasa praises him. Bhabo interrupt by questioning suraj. She asks why he bought such old papers & magazines. Suraj tells that these papers are new & bought for sandy’s preparation. Bhabo gives a grinning look.
Precap: The cable wala fixes the cable & tells suraj that he will get Tv by 27000 & 3000 for the accessories. Babasa tells that it might be someone else’. But the cable wala gives them the receipt having the name of suraj rathi. Sandy & bhabo gets shocked.

Everyone on Earth has these three golden words inscribed in their minds. But sometimes committed and hard working professionals in their zest to keep abreast with their work go out of their way to finish their ventures without much considering their health conditions.
Similar is the case of one of our dedicated television artistes, Neelu Vaghela, who is shooting despite being unwell.
When we called up Neelu for a small chit-chat, who plays the all important role of Bhabho in Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum (Shashi Sumeet Productions), she seemed to be a bit low. Otherwise, she is one of the celebrities who can cheer any journo with her quirky quotes and joyful attitude.
Alarmed, we asked this beautiful lady if she was keeping unwell.
Pat came the reply, “Yes, I am unwell. Maybe over work is the cause of all this. With back-to-back shoots without offs, my body is giving up. I am really feeling weak today.”
The actress further said that she was experiencing heaviness in the chest and breathing issues. This worried us further, after which we advised her to immediately rush to the doctor. The dedicated woman that she is, Neelu said that she would visit her doctor only after she finishes her shoot this evening.
Take it easy Neelu; you have a long way to go!!!
